Venezuelan Hot Dogs and Fig Soup

 Holaaaa mis amigos

Every day in our zone chat we send a voice memo of a setback, comeback. If you don`t know what that is, well it`s pretty self-explanatory. Here are some of this week!
 we had some good ones.

Tuesday
Setback: we were walking to our lesson, and we were outside this apartment complex and this kid straight up egged us. From like 6 stories above.

Comeback:
Camila decided to be baptized!!! She is THE most prepared person I've ever met. She is 19, the niece of our first counselor in the bishopric and has been taking the lessons for quite some time. She goes to institute, and literally helps plan the ysa activities. She was SO excited to tell us she finally received an answer and is so so so excited to be baptized.

Wednesday
Setback: Sylvia made us "soggy fig in fig water" and watched as we ate (gagged it down)

Honestly there was no comeback to this.

Thursday
Set back: no one we invited came to our noche de futbol

Comeback: a random person off the street came an hour into it!! I think they just came for the food jaja

Saturday
Setback: we were having our weekly dcm breakfast and we couldn't light the stove, so someone had the genius idea of lighting a large wad or paper towels and I'm sure you can guess what happened next
Firey paper towels on the ground
Fire alarm on
Ashes everywhere
Literally everywhere
Ward members angry

Comeback: we were finally able to visit a less active family and have a noche de hogar with them! They made us Venezuelan hotdogs, which are quite interesting to say the least. the best part was that they came to church the next day! They hadn`t been in a really long time, so it was such a happy day!!

We had a lot of visits this week with less active members and something I love about the people here us that they are always welcoming. They rarely have harsh feeling towards the church. Most of the people we visited hadn't been to church in a really, really long time, but they were like "sure, come in!!  Also do you want an entire meal, now I will talk to you for 1 hour in super fast Spanish about my entire life story" jaja

This is kind of all over the place jajaj but here ya go! Here are some pics and also some film I got back from sc finally jaja)!!
