Hooray for Israel

hi everyone!! sorry this kind of turned into a bi-annual email jaja life got busy!
I spent my last 2 transfers in Chuy, a town half in Brazil and half in Uruguay, possibly my most favorite area ever. I'm not sure how but I've reached the end! I'm going home in 5 days!

These past 18 months have meant everything to me, I have felt more joy that I thought possible and developed a personal relationship with my Savior that I cherish more than anything. I know the gospel is true. The Book of Mormon testifies of Christ. I love Jesus Christ, I´ve loved watching the influence of the Savior change the lives of the people out here in Uruguay.  The message I love most about the gospel is that we can truly start over everyday thanks to the Atonement of Jesus Christ, I know it to be true because I´ve felt it in my life and have watched it in the lives of others. 

“However late you think you are, however, many chances you think you have missed, however many mistakes you feel you have made or talents you think you don’t have, or however far from home and family and God you feel you have traveled, I testify that you have not traveled beyond the reach of divine love. It is not possible for you to sink lower than the infinite light of Christ’s Atonement shines.” (Holland)

I am so grateful for my mission. I am going to miss just about everything here, these people are incredibly special to me!

Since i probably won't write a letter muahaha I decided I'd write you guys one since I don't think I've ever done that  My week was good. My comp is good she's super fun. She definitely likes to work a little ~slower~ which is an adjustment but it's alright.  Had a zone conference with our new president and his 6 kids, his youngest is 3! Haha it was funny they introduced themselves and the 3 yr old was up there screaming the whole time lol. His oldest is 15, I think. His wife speaks pretty good Spanish, she studied it in college, although never served a mission. They lived in China for a few years, because when you're super rich you can do that kind of thing. So, they all speak fluent Chinese so that's kind of weird.  But ya he's cool.   He goes "ya when I got here, I thought president Escobar was going to talk to me about the rules and the standards, but he just gave me like 50 hugs"  It was SO funny because that's very typical preside

Hermana Party Planning

  Hii everyone What a weeeek!!  Started off getting a random vaccine from a south american doctors office, that looked like it belonged in a horror movie, in hopes of not getting deported haha. Do I know what it was for? No. But my arm really hurts Other than that, this week was pretty dang good!! We were walking down the street one day when we met Irene, who we ended up talking to and sharing a scripture with. Halfway through, she told us she was a member of our church, but just hadn't been since she was 14. She invited us over for dinner the next day and we ended up having a really powerful lesson about the Book of Mormon with her and her husband who is not a member. Then on Sunday they all came to church, it was the best miracle ever!!  The second-best part of this week though was definitely the ward party. Family History Baptism

Well just start off with the best news ever!! The Perez family was baptized this Saturday!!! Best. Day. Ever.  About a month and a half ago Hermana Fernández and I started teaching Liliana and her kids. It's been so incredible to watch them change and progress in the gospel. From the first time they came to church, they were super committed to the gospel. Her jóvenes have been attending all the activities and when we see them their countenances are just beaming.  The baptismal was a tad bit loco, but in a good way (mostly) hahah.  When we got to the church, the font was filled up like maybe a foot. We were like ahhh crap. We vigorously started filling pots of water and dumping them in the font it was a sight to behold that's for sure.  Sooo many people came to support them, which meant we were all super squished into the room with the baptismal font.
