This week was sooo awesome!! Tuesday night was transfers and I got transferred to Maldonado, San Carlos with Hermana Fernández!! She speaks 0 English which is so awesome!! And she's soo patient with my Spanish which is such a blessing. This area is popping so they decided to split it, which means we're ward sharing. Right now we are living with 2 other sisters in Maldonado because we don't gotta house in our area, I'm still not entirely sure why, but here we are. 40 min from our area jaja. Everyday we hop on the bus and spend all day in San Carlos. We're really out in the Campo here, lots of cows and horses and goats, so ofc I love it.  The ward in San Carlos is the best. They have a ton of youth which means tons of activities so I'm pretty much living my best life hahaha. Also the bishop pulled up in his moto to church this week, so you already know this ward is going to be a good time.  Because there are so many youths, it means we get to teach a lot of youth ...

Holaaaa mis amigos  Every day in our zone chat we send a voice memo of a setback, comeback. If you don`t know what that is, well it`s pretty self-explanatory. Here are some of this week!  we had some good ones.  Tuesday Setback: we were walking to our lesson, and we were outside this apartment complex and this kid straight up egged us. From like 6 stories above.  Comeback:  Camila decided to be baptized!!! She is THE most prepared person I've ever met. She is 19, the niece of our first counselor in the bishopric and has been taking the lessons for quite some time. She goes to institute, and literally helps plan the ysa activities. She was SO excited to tell us she finally received an answer and is so so so excited to be  baptized. Wednesday   Setback: Sylvia made us "soggy fig in fig water" and watched as we ate (gagged it down)   Honestly there was no comeback to this.  Thursday  Set back: no one we ...

This week was sooo awesome!! To start we got to have a mission-wide conference with Elder Godoy. He dropped some fire knowledge and just brought the spirit so strongly. It was super cool to be with the whole mission together ahhh good day.  This week we saw miracle after miracle. We have a friend named Lorena whose daughter is a member. She's been investigating the church for 3 years now. We've had a few video calls with her, but multiple people in the ward reached out to us telling us that there was pretty much no hope with her #ouch. Well, Lorena came to church for the first time in 6 months today. I think the members were more shocked than us haha. She was so sweet and asked us such sincere questions afterward.  Another miracle came when we were walking back after a lunch appointment and it started POURING, like not raining, pouring. Randomly, we saw some members in their apartment who were having a bday party and they invited us in and offered to give us a r...

Hermana Party Planning

Hii everyone What a weeeek!!  Started off getting a random vaccine from a south american doctors office, that looked like it belonged in a horror movie, in hopes of not getting deported haha. Do I know what it was for? No. But my arm really hurts Other than that, this week was pretty dang good!! We were walking down the street one day when we met Irene, who we ended up talking to and sharing a scripture with. Halfway through, she told us she was a member of our church, but just hadn't been since she was 14. She invited us over for dinner the next day and we ended up having a really powerful lesson about the Book of Mormon with her and her husband who is not a member. Then on Sunday they all came to church, it was the best miracle ever!!  The second-best part of this week though was definitely the ward party. My comp and I have turned into the party planning committee because this ward hasn't had any activities since covid. So, we planned weekly FHE, ven sigue me, and a ...

Helllooo my friends!!! We had quite the interesting week here in Malvin!! Our ward building is also the mission office and this week we had 30 new missionaries come!! Which meant a lot of transfers and missionaries moving all around, so our house became the rest stop hahah. We hosted like 7 different missionaries on various days, and it was so fun!! But we also have no food now jajaja.  After a really slow couple days, because all our lessons were canceled, we had one of our friends randomly text us and ask if we could give her a tour of the temple grounds. We were like Sure ,jaja it's about a 2 hour walk from our apartment and she wanted to do the tour at 8am. We had actually never met her before because she was a referral, and so we ended up teaching her the first lesson, on the temple grounds, with some rando temple worker that decided to join!! Ahaha the spirit was SO strong, and she was just so excited about the blessings a temple can provide. By far, the best part of t...
