I Lost the Keys
Somehow I out did myself this week and lost our car keys for 6 hours and we were stranded at the church with no Sim card and no keys. Luckily, it wasn't entirely my fault, a member took them (on accident?) and decided to drive to Greenville for the afternoon. After like 4 hours of searching the church, they finally called us and were like oh I think we have your stuff. Haha it made for an interesting day to say the least.
Thanksgiving was the bomb. First we ate at the Burgess' who invited over Kayla and Tony and made about 17 casseroles. 10 of which were colored greens. People love colored greens here. Then we went to Judy's who forgot she invited us over, so we sat awkwardly at the kids table lol.
In other news, we met a Russian! We gave him a Russian BOM and he LOVED it haha. Then in return, he gave us dried fish jerky. We had to eat it right then and there and I about died. Imagine thin cardboard absolutely dunked in fish flavor with about a gallon of salt. Then to top it off, he gave us a package of it to take home haha. But, we've actually started to teach his whole family of 10, I guess they like big families in Russia too.
Elfie and Tony are still on date for baptism this month, so that is super exciting. Elfie's baptism is in two Sundays and she's super excited for it.
All is good here in sc!!!!
Something I've been thinking a lot about this week is charity, the ultimate attribute. I think this year's light the world theme, service, is perfect for obtaining charity. If u haven't printed off the light the world calendar, go do it!!! It's awesome!!
Have a blessed week!!
